Today is Friday, the 20th of March, 2020 and this is the first post of the day. It was delayed by a server error that is still being investigated.
The table above is a list of all departures from Lisbon Airport taken at 11:10 WET this morning. As you can see, most flights are going out, as scheduled, including the regular Air Transat flight to Toronto. This is the flight we are scheduled to return on in less than three days.
Things have been increasingly tightening up to constrain the spread of the COVID-19 virus. As of tomorrow morning --- and for our remaining two days here --- we expect to have no contact with anyone as all services at the resort are being suspended as of midnight tonight. Our primary contact was the cleaning staff, but their services are suspended and there is only one representative on hand to deal with any emergencies and issues of safety. The next contact we'll have with others is when we enter the airport in Lisbon to check-in for our flight and drop off our luggage.
We're in good spirits and have been fully prepared for whatever might occur since we finished up our grocery shopping on Monday. We have all the provisions we need including two bottles of white wine for the remaining two days.
